How Women Should Protect Their Assets With Wills and Trusts
January 12, 2009
Hosted by Jordan Goodman
Women usually face unique issues that are often ignored in typical discussions of estate planning. Wynne Whitman, author of Smart Women Protect Their Assets: Essential Information for Every Woman about Wills, Trusts and More, knows what women should consider when doing their estate planning. In this interview she will discuss issues such as caring for children from previous marriages and elderly parents. Women in many cases do not have assets or credit in their own names which can create difficulties when their husbands die. They often do not have the correct papers completed such as powers of attorney or health care proxies to be able to deal with health related issues. Whitman will explain all the steps people need to take to make the whole process of settling estates as efficient and painless as possible.
