February 12, 2009
Hosted by Squire Patton Boggs
The House and Senate is deeply engaged in negotiations to finalize the economic stimulus package that President Obama says is the key to turning things around. One of the biggest elements of the finished bill is sure to be major investments in transportation infrastructure. Norma Krayem, former Deputy Chief of Staff for the Department of Transportation, joins the show to talk about how that money will be spent and what can be done to get more of it focused on needs in your own community. Next, Chris Hagenbush, a former in-house counsel for Coca-Cola, discusses the pressing need for the Obama Administration to reform the FDA and improve food safety. Then, Scott Weber, former senior counselor at the Department of Homeland Security, is on tap to discuss the growing concern with cyber attacks against national assets and individual businesses.
