Episode Description
Cell phones have become an important weapon in the fight against crime and camera phones are a new wrinkle in this ongoing battle. They're responsible for apprehending a whole mess of criminals and saving many lives. Today, Crime Prevention Specialist Susan Bartelstone interviews Marcus Anthony and Ron Knight from My Mobile Witness—a free mobile phone service that allows you to take a picture of a person, place or situation that's causing you apprehension (or simply as a precaution) and send it off to a secure digital vault where it's time and date stamped and stored for six months. Once you send in a photo, it can't be retrieved or viewed by anyone but Law Enforcement. This service has many uses; but, If you're plagued by a stalker, if you have an Order of Protection against a domestic partner, if you have a job that puts you in vulnerable situations (think real estate agents), don't miss this show. And, stay tuned for great tips on how to use your cell phone to catch a criminal.
