Episode Description

Crime Prevention Specialist Susan Bartelstone's first segment is a discussion of the newly-passed Franken Amendment, sponsored by Sen. Al Franken, which prohibits the government from awarding defense contracts to independent companies operating overseas (like Halliburton/KBR) if they require employees to submit to arbitration for serious offenses like sexual assault instead of being able to go to criminal court. Her guest is Jaye Grayce, co-host of the Rape Declaration Forum show on WBAI 99.5FM; and you'll hear from Tracy Barker who, in 2005, was raped while working for Halliburton in Iraq, about her ongoing quest for justice. Then, Susan discusses the growing threat of terrorist attacks on synagogues and churches with martial arts master and rabbinic intern Stuart Shimon Rosenberg, a founding member of the so-called God Squad which is a group of rabbis and pastors who are giving self defense and firearms training to religious leaders and members of the congregation. OY Vey!!
