"The Art of Editing”
February 4, 2010
Hosted by David Gibbons
Duane Conder joins “In Discussion” to talk about his life in shooting and editing for national and multi-national clients. He provides digital media production including motion graphic design and compositing to a very short, selective list of broadcast documentary and corporate clientele. This holistic approach to working in the production industry has lead to relationships with clients, crew and producers that go beyond the norm. Each project he accepts is launched and executed with very emotionally intelligent, methodical decision-making. “When emotional intelligence and timed, purposeful decisions are in the production mix, the doors open wide for creativity to flow,” Conder notes. Another production mantra that keeps his clients returning is the concept he refined in 2003 and continues to follow to this day: loosely shoot, tightly cut and finish well. “By doing these things,” says Conder, “there’s a level of realism and credibility created that just bumps the story up to the next level...”
