Florida H.S. Pitcher that overcame a loss of a leg to start again as a pitcher. Ida will welcome Nate Winters and his father Dr. Tom Winters, whose story was recently aired on an ESPN special. Ida will talked to the Winters' family about the baby steps that Nate had to take after a catastrophic boating accident cost him his left leg. Ida will talked about the highs, lows and triumphs of Nate returning to the mound 22-months later to start. In addition, Ida will welcome to the show Doug Pringle, President of Disabled Sports USA Far West, founded in 1967. Doug and Ida will talk about the innovative programs that his organization provides to disable athlete. Doug will share some of his organizations triumphs and challenges as well. Ida will conclude the show by naming Nate Winters the "Sportsmavericks of the Year."
