Special Encore Presentation: The Post Catastrophe Economy
July 12, 2010
Hosted by John D. Schmidt
Eric Janszen, founder and president of iTulip, Inc. and distinguished author, speaker, commentator, and forecaster of major economic and market trends, joins ZOOM’D for a rich and stimulating examination of what’s wrong with the economy—and how we need to fix it. Eric introduces the subject of his upcoming book The Post-Catastrophe Economy and points out the major challenges we face in the era of volatility that will characterize our future. As a frequent guest on and reference point for CNBC, NPR, Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, USA Today, NYTimes, Washington Post and numerous other media sources, Eric combines trusted analysis with a poignant style of writing and communicating that yields, as CNBC’s Bill Griffith says, “the place to go for a contrary view of the markets.” Join Eric and ZOOM’D host John Schmidt as they bridge from recent seminal articles on “The Next Bubble” and “Welcome to the False Economy” into realities of “The Post-Catastrophe Economy.”

ZOOM’D takes you out to big picture issues of the day, in to up-close-and-personal capacities of leadership, and toward a desirable future of constant renewal.
Whether focused on the economic crisis, energy, climate change, or sustainability at large, ZOOM’D looks at what is really going on. We’ll examine patterns at play, drivers behind them, perspectives of leadership, and the importance of changing the way we pursue the future.
ZOOM’D uniquely interweaves emphasis on the objective and subjective—on tangible shifts needed in systems, institutions, governance, and behaviors; and on intangible values, cultures, and leader mindsets needed to see, shape, and orchestrate the shifts.
ZOOM’D bridges the conceptual to the practical for all in business, government, and civil society to benefit from and to activate leadership around.
