FUSION has a long history of responding to community challenges -- from gang shootings, Hurricane Katrina and now a community looking for ways to heal. As a direct response to the incidents of January 8, the Healing Trees Humanitarian Program: "Heal Our Communities, Offer Remembrance and Celebrate Life." was created. The FUSION Foundation, the Arizona Community Tree Council and Trees for Tucson | Tucson Clean and Beautiful are working together to heal our communities, offer remembrance, and celebrate life with the planting of Healing Trees across the state and across the country. Healing Trees are a visual life-giving memorial commemorating the lives of those who died, honoring those who were injured and paying tribute to the outstanding actions of forgiveness, compassion, understanding, kindness and love we witnessed in the wake of the tragedy by so many in the Tucson community. Michelle’s background includes 15 –years in Radio, Television, Public Relations, production, sales, marketing and events giving her a systemic understanding of the most effective ways in which the Media can be leveraged.
Michelle has been a successful Executive Producer and talk show personality for over a decade. She has created, developed and produced over 150 talk radio programs for AM & FM stations nationally. She has worked for CBS, ESPN, TNT, PAC 10 Football, FOX Sports, The Golf Channel and NBC’s Unsolved Mysteries. She is respected as one of the most well-connected professionals in the Media, and operates with a high level of integrity, professionalism and commitment.
Michelle graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communications with a B.S. in Broadcasting, and emphasis in Television & Film production.
Michelle’s philanthropic passions are expressed through her company Chicks4Change - a charity support group committed to making a difference by serving the community and dedicated to education, awareness and prevention. She has donated countless hours to both local and national non-profit organizations through her fundraising events and as a 7-time marathoner. She’s also a Top National Fundraiser for Childhelp USA and the American Stroke Association's Train to End Stroke program. Michelle is a Triple Virgo, has lived in the Phoenix area for almost 20 years, currently residing in Scottsdale, Arizona.
