Episode Description

This special broadcast celebrates the largest Music and Arts Festival/Fundraiser in Thousand Oaks (California) history. The Conejo Valley will spring to life this summer with the Open Borders Festival - a broad, eclectic and exciting suite of presentations suited for all tastes, representing the highest caliber of music, art and cultural offerings. The festival will take place in the former home of the Borders bookstore on Thousand Oaks Boulevard. All profits benefit multiple non-profits dedicated to teen suicide prevention, sustainability and other social issues. Dan Hicks kicks off the broadcast and will be followed by Borders landlord Larry Janss who couldn’t let an empty building with 40,000 square feet go to waste while waiting for the new tenant to move in this fall.
