More universities around the world today and especially the USA are requiring direct awareness of various cultures world-wide. Lee University, sponsored by The Church of God, is no exception to this rule. Students will be visiting Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Scheduled to arrive in the UAE around Spring Break 2012, the educational tour is a gain in understanding aspects of the MENA region that seems most misunderstood in the West. Students will primarily be from department of Business, IT, and Psychology mostly. Cross-cultural studies, sometimes called Holocultural Studies, is a specialization in anthropology and sister sciences (sociology, psychology, economics, political science) that uses field data from many societies to examine the scope of human behavior and test hypotheses about human cultural behavior. Student body of one denomination will observe citizens of other faiths to learn of financial matter, family life, works functions, sports activities of others.

Dr. Raymond Hamden
Dr. Raymond Hamden was born in the United States of America. He has practiced psychology in Washington, D.C. since 1979 and the United Arab Emirates since 1990. His diverse International services are in Clinical, Forensic, Educational, Organizational, and cross-cultural consultation.
By invitation, he has presented before the US Senate and wrote for the US House of Representatives on topics of forensic and political psychology. He has presented at professional conferences worldwide as keynote address, workshop and seminar facilitator.
In October 2008, Dr. Hamden was appointed by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) as Chair, Psychology SME Panel to facilitate the creation and implementation of Psychology Laws of Practice, Code of Ethical Principles, and Scope of Practice for Psychology. In March 2007, he was selected to service on the Plenary committee and workshop for the European Space Agency (ESA) and consult on the clinical elements of human Psychology of Space Travel.
Dr. Hamden is Chair, American Board of Psychological Specialties. A Life Member of several professional organizations, most recently elected to membership in the America Academy of Forensic Sciences.
Dr. Hamden has appeared as an expert in international media.
