Professional Development Special--The Social Lawyer and Women in Law - Elections and More
September 8, 2011
Hosted by Squire Patton Boggs
Join us on this week's Capital Thinking as host Kevin O'Neill welcomes back professional development gurus Cordell Parvin and Dr. Cindy Pladziewicz to speak on several development topics relevant to legal professionals. Cordell will start off by discussing the ever-so-important correlation between today's lawyers and their use of social media, and the best ways to take advantage of what different social media tools have to offer. Next, Dr. Pladziewicz will zero in on the perspective of females in law by discussing issues such as, the women's initiative in law firms; her advice for women leaders and those who strive for leadership roles; and how generational differences may impact the progression of women's development in the legal industry. Then, Cordell and Dr. Pladziewicz will jointly offer their advice for law firms on how to structure their client development coaching. Finally, after Wednesday night's Republican election debate, Kevin will give his reaction to the candidates' performances and examine how the debate will tailor the race toward 2012.
