Imagine being told you need a biopsy, and then a lumpectomy, and then the removal of a part of your body. How would you feel? Lea Yekutiel, a breast cancer VICTOR tells us how she felt in her heartfelt book “Making the Breast of it, Overcoming Fear of Intimacy After Mastectomy.” On today’s show, Lea will talk honestly about her feelings, her experience with breast cancer, and her transformation during this time of her life. Everyone can learn from her book because we all need to learn to let go of what we can’t control; we all need to learn to live in the present moment, and we all need to learn how to forgive. Lea tells us how in her very personal and authentic story. She will also talk about self-love, and share some of her many exercises to increase compassion, forgiveness, gratitude, to honor our uniqueness and enjoy living in the moment. Whether you have had cancer, know someone who has, or want to deepen your own understanding, Lea’s story and wisdom will enlighten you.

Dr. Susan Allison
Dr. Susan Allison has a doctorate in transpersonal psychology and maintains a private practice in Santa Cruz, California. She is also an ordained and licensed interfaith minister, a clinical hypnotherapist, a shamanic practitioner, a healer and healing coach, and practices energy medicine using Reiki and The Reconnection. She is the author of three books: Conscious Divorce, Ending a Marriage with Integrity, published by Three Rivers Press; Breathing Room, by Park Place Publishers; and recently, Empowered Healer, Gain the Confidence, Power and Ability to Heal Yourself, through Balboa Press/Hay House. She has been published dozens of times for her poetry and creative non-fiction, has been honored as a Woman of the Year in California for her counseling work, and currently sees herself as an empowering healing coach. Her mission is to help the planet heal, by helping its people become more empowered, transformed and fulfilled.
