As we have discussed many times before, having a great product or concept is only about 15% of being successful. Having the money to do what you need to do is another 15%. Unfortunately, too many entrepreneurs forget about the most important 70%. The reality is that if you get the 30% right, even with a fantastic project, you will likely fail. However if you get the 70%, even with an ordinary project, you will likely succeed. For some reason it is very difficult to convince entrepreneurs of this. We discuss why employers can't find good employees. We argue it’s not a skills shortage at all. Rather it’s a shortage in the number of employers prepared to invest in training their workforce. We also talk about how to get employees to become innovative, to think outside the box.
