The Freddie Scott show features powerful testimonies from professional athletes and entertainers from I AM SECOND, as well as Play of the Day advice from Tony Dungy’s organization, ALL PRO DAD.

Our show covers a variety of topics including: parenting, time management, marriage/relationships, goal setting, finances, character development, and fatherhood.

Freddie Scott

Freddie Scott

After a standout college career as a receiver at Penn State setting a school record for most catches in a game (13), and dawning the cover of Sports Illustrated, Freddie has a history as a player in the National Football League (Falcons '96 - '97, Colts '98, Lions '99), a teacher, a public speaker and author. He is the founder and president of Unlock the Champion, an organization determined to empower men with tools to love and lead their families, as well as equip youth with fundamental life skills essential for character development to be successful in life and at home.

Today, Freddie travels across the country speaking on such issues as family, character development, leadership, and personal growth. To date, Freddie has spoken to thousands, helping to empower people to not be imprisoned by the pain of their past. He is a devoted husband and father of five children, a National Spokesman for Tony Dungy's organization, All Pro Dad, and serves as an Assistant Pastor at Word of Faith Christian Center in Nashville.

Lyndon Barrington Allen

He is a graduate of Biola University in La Mirada, CA with a Degree in Organizational Leadership (Industrial Psychology) with an emphasis in Biblical Studies and Apologetics. Moving to Nashville in 1995, he came as a signed recording artist with Gotee Records, he performed in the Dove Award nominated Christian reggae group Christafari. He also co-wrote for the movie soundtrack Left Behind. He also does Voice Over work for training programs, commercials and video announcements. Lyndon has utilized his diverse business experience in music as a recording artist and publisher, telecommunications, banking, and pharmaceutical sales. In 1999, Lyndon joined Schering-Ploug, makers of the blockbuster drug Claritin. He performed as a top-money earner for the company and has served as a sales representative and district trainer. Lyndon is a motivational speaker and conference teacher, with an internet radio podcast-Total Life Victory.com; He writes a weekly blog and hosts a YouTube channel- TotalLifeVictoryTV. Since 2003, Lyndon Allen has been a lay minister and teacher at Bethel World Outreach Church (BWOC) in Brentwood, Tennessee. From 2007-2011, he served on the BWOC Pastoral staff as a full-time associate, specializing in pastoral marriage counseling. He has served on the Board of the Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center in Nashville. He currently sits on the board of Faith for All Ministries of Nashville, Tennessee. Lyndon and his wife Sharyl reside in Brentwood, Tennessee with 3 of their 4 children. Eddie Brousard

Eddie met the Navigators at Texas A & M and enjoyed four years of spiritual mentoring with them before graduating from Texas A & M in 1978 with a B.S. degree in Zoology, PreMedicine. He taught chemistry at Navasota High School (Texas), then joined the staff of The Navigators and moved to the University of Illinois for staff training in 1980. Eddie’s varied ministry experiences include student ministry at Tuskegee Institute (Alabama) and Memphis State University (Tennessee), church ministry as Pastor of Discipleship at Lamar Terrace Baptist Church (Memphis) and helping plant Crown of Love Evangelical Free Church (Chicago) (a Spanish-speaking church). Eddie is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he completed the Master of Arts degree in New Testament. Eddie’s interest in intercultural ministry led him to Moscow, Russia where he served as In-country Training Director for the CoMission. Eddie served as Vice President of Diversity of the US Navigators for ten years before stepping into his current role as Senior Vice President and Associate Director, US Field Ministries. Dave Buehring

Dave Buehring is a devoted follower of Jesus who serves as the Founder and Team Leader of the Lionshare Leadership Group. Over the last three-plus decades he has served as a missionary, pastor, and leader while using his communication gifts to preach, teach and equip multitudes in the ways of God. Carey Casey

Carey Casey is Chief Executive Officer of the Kansas City-based National Center for Fathering, joining the Center in March, 2006. Through his work across the country, Casey has earned a reputation as a dynamic communicator, especially on the topic of men being good fathers. He’s known as a compassionate ambassador, particularly within the American sports community. He is also author of the book, Championship Fathering – How to Win at Being a Dad (2009) and is General Editor of 21-Day Dad’s Challenge (2011). Since 2009, Carey has served on the White House Task Force on Fatherhood and Healthy Families. He also serves as a member of the executive committee of the National Fatherhood Leaders Group, which promotes responsible fatherhood policy, research, advocacy and practice. Casey joined the Center after 18 years in various roles with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where most recently he was president of the FCA Foundation, gaining significant leadership experience with a large, successful, national nonprofit organization. His career has also included serving as chaplain at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys under Hall of Fame Coach Tom Landry, and chaplain for the Kansas City Chiefs. John Sowers

John Sowers is the president of The Mentoring Project, a movement that exists to inspire and equip faith communities to change the lives of fatherless boys through mentoring. He is a founding member of the Formosa Theory and has been a part of the White House Task Force conversation on Fatherhood and Healthy families. Before taking the lead position at The Mentoring Project, John spent time working with both the Luis Palau and Billy Graham Evangelistic Associations. John has been asked to participate at the Q, Story and Idea Camp conferences and is frequently asked to speak in churches on the topic of fatherlessness in America and the how the church can play a role in reaching out to these children. Having grown up in a home without a father, he is the successful product of faithful mentoring. John grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended college at Ouachita Baptist University. From there, he received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, where wrote his doctoral thesis on the crisis of fatherlessness.
