Recently it was estimated that the number of children who will be diagnosed with autism during their lives is close to 1 in 88. Among the many questions that this staggering statistic elicits: What happens when these children become adults and are asked to lead independent lives? What services can we provide to help them achieve their full potential? And how are other nations handling this question that transcends national boundaries. This week your host Rob Haupt, is very excited to welcome two special guests to the show, Dr. Ronit Molko, Co-Founder and CEO of Autism Spectrum Therapies and Judy Mark. Judy and Ronit are joining us to discuss their recent trip to Israel and some of the innovative programs they saw while visiting various communities in the region. Rob Haupt is a passionate professional in the field of autism. His knowledge of autism services, treatment options and insurance coverage has made him a popular guest speaker to advocate groups. He also shares tips for parents through his weekly video blog.
Rob is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 12 years of experience treating individuals with Development Disabilities. He currently serves as Vice President of Business Development at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), an agency that provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy and Speech to individuals with Autism. In his role with AST, Rob has collaborated with parents, teachers, and schools to support better understanding of autism health insurance mandates and how to effectively use insurance coverage.
