Can You Haiku?
September 5, 2012
Hosted by Mary Beth Lodge
Do you allow your creative power to deepen your spiritual life? Can a familiar creative structure lead you to an unfamiliar place of self- discovery? How do you access your creative life? Where does it lead you? Brent Funderburk returns to lead us on another raucous journey into the creative process, this time from the structure of Haiku. This is not your ordinary Haiku! Brent has developed a visual form of haiku, a triptych, that complements and expands the written process. Discover the journey this poetic form opens to you. Use this structure to take yourself to a new level of calmness, self – understanding, playfulness and prayer. We’ll explore the origins of haiku as well as playfully improvise some poetry of our own. Always a source of joy, laughter, and fun, Brent’s humor and spontaneity will breathe light into your day!
