Ida Muorie, Host of Sportsmavericks Show welcomes Houston Chronicles, Sports Columnist Jerome Solomon to the show to discuss Vince Young’s financial woes. Jerome is the President of the Houston Black Journalist Association. Ida will asked Jerome if the press intended to do a character assassination on Vince Young because he is a Black Quarterback, and whether Vince was being treated differently white players that have filed bankruptcy with debts of over $100 million in Major League Baseball. Where is there front page coverage of irresponsibility and itemized bills of how much they spent at Delmonico Steak House, Planes the leased and their gambling debts? Is there a double standard for Black Athletes who are involved in the legal system than there is for white players? Where does the buck stop for informing all athletes on how to choose a qualified agent and financial advisor to avoid similar problems? What is the responsibility of colleges, universities, NCAA and Player Associations in these matters? All these question and more will be answered tonight.
