October 2, 2012
Hosted by Rob Haupt
In this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio, Dr. Frea will discuss how play based ABA methods can be used to treat autism spectrum disorders (ASD.) Play is at the center of child hood learning. Fundamentally children learn everything through play. This speaks volumes about how important it is that ASD therapies incorporate play based activities into the mix when devising a treatment approach. However, the challenges associated with establishing an effective and fun play based routine for children with an autism spectrum disorder can be daunting. In this episode Dr. Frea and his guest, Dr. Lynn Koegel will discuss play based ABA methods and how they fit in with the ABA model of treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Be sure to catch this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio Tuesday, May 1st at 11 AM.
