Episode Description

This week on Autism Spectrum Radio we explore the topic of employment for adults with autism. One of the primary goals of autism therapies is to establish a level of independence for individuals on the spectrum. As children with autism become teens, and teens with autism become adults, the question of financial independence and employment inevitably arise. In this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio we discuss strategies and ideas that will help adults with autism and their families find the right position to fit their particular skills and strengths. We are happy to welcome Dr. Dorothea Lerman to the show this week to help us discuss this topic. Dr. Lerman is currently conducting exciting research in this area and has some excellent thoughts on the subject of employment options for individuals with autism. Be sure to catch this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio, Tuesday, October 30th at 11 AM.
