Whether you love the idea of Prom or Senior Ball or not, it’s almost a high school rite of passage. For girls, maybe the most anticipated thing is either dolling up or getting asked by some special guy. Girls start thinking about prom months and years in advance, planning dresses, hair, make-up, and dates. Most guys seem to take it less seriously. They say they follow a routine of getting flowers, find a tux to match whatever color their date wants, book a limo, and have fun. Our hosts Courtney Cheng and Youngjoo Ahn as well as field reporters Rachel Glass and Youngjoo Ahn bring us every detail about preparing for prom from how to creatively ask a person to go with you, what to wear, when to shop, and how to have the night of your life. The girls survey two of our male reporters for their opinions and it’s fascinating how everyone has a different experience. Are you going to Prom or Senior Ball this year? Broadcasting since 2011, twenty-seven young people from around the United States have regularly shared their passions and interests as hosts and reporters on Express Yourself! These teens are not afraid of the tough topics and thrill at the opportunity of interviewing a variety of guests including authors, actors, Olympians, scientists, musicians, poets, and experts of varied disciplines.
