February 21, 2013
Hosted by Rinsley Phelps
On the Super Girl Guide: The Radio Show Super Girls Carlee and Callie introduced the Severson Sisters Super Girl Guide To Respect Workbook and began with questions from the book. Carlee and Callie introduced themselves and expressed their excitement over starting the new show and talked about their experience auditioning for the show. The girls introduced the meaning of a Super Girl, and explained what exactly makes them Super Girls. Carlee and Callie also spoke about their bullying experiences and why they are bullied. The main topic revolving the first show included the concept of having Power Words. Power words are words used to best describe you, and also are used to help you become a Super Girl. Carlee and Callie chose power words that they best associated themselves with, and each picked one power word they would use the following week out in the community. The girls ended the show with promise cards; promises that they would say to themselves to become more positive.

The Super Girl Guide: The Radio Show is a show hosted by two middle-school Super Girls, Rinsley and Callie that airs on the VoiceAmerica Kids Channel.
These Super Girls talk about real-life issues girl face today at school and out in their community. They talk about hobbies, friendships, bullying and what it means to live their lives as Super Girls. Regular topics Rinsley and Callie will share their thoughts on are respect, acceptance, healthy relationships, peer-pressure, competition and body image.
Ever since Rinsley was little, she knew she would be a singer. She had her first solo when she was three. Then at six she started performing in musical theater.
Trying new things, Rinsley found figure skating. She had an instant connection with the ice. After she passed all of her basic skills and free skate classes she began to skate competitively. After her 14th birthday she got second place in the 2012 Mid Atlantics Championships in New York. Shortly after received 3rd place in the 2012 South Pacific Regionals.
At the beginning of 2013 Rinsley broke her ankle while skating. Once she healed and was back on the ice, she did not feel the same connection she once had. She made the heart breaking decision to quit skating. Although, this was the hardest decision for her, it was the best and changed her life forever.
It was during this tough time that Rinsley had entered a singing competition. With no professional help she won first place and continued to the Grand Finals. That was it! She decided she would be a singer and that’s exactly what she did.
In May of 2013, Rinsley found her way to radio with KidStar Radio Network. KidStar worked with Rinsley to help facilitate her dream of hosting a radio show discussing the indie music scene.
Rinsley is always grateful to God, family and friends for opportunities that she has the privilege of being a part of. Rinsley will never stop singing and she will never settle for less than her dreams!
