How The Dying Can Inspire The Living
June 6, 2013
Hosted by Leah Brenda Smith
Often the journey into death is a time of great introspection filled with inquiry and insight. Frequently people who are dying speak about what they regret having done, and what they wish they had done. Many authors have gathered and shared anecdotes from dying friends, patients and family members in the hope of inspiring others to live more fully and not face the same regrets. The most common of all the regrets is not having lived a life of being true to oneself. This regret also causes the most frustration because, so often the realization comes at a time when it is too late to act on the freedom that living true to oneself would allow. Some of the other common regrets are wishing they had expressed their feelings more, stayed in touch with their friends, not worked so hard, and experienced more happiness. Join me this week as we explore what the dying share with the hope of inspiring the living.
