DeWayne Cecil, PhD, advisor to NOAA, talks about January 2012 the fourth warmest for the contiguous U.S., climates in general and satellites. The globe experienced its 19th warmest January since record keeping began in 1880. Additionally, La Niña conditions continued during January 2012.
