Episode Description

The program is divided into three modules that build upon another. In Module One we want our participants to first understand that they have culture; Learning that culture is not something they are born with but is something that is learned through imitation and teaching. In Module two, participants gain more personal insight as they learn what their value behaviors are on a value dimension continuum. We also learn about different cultural perspectives, verbal and nonverbal techniques practiced by different cultures. We stress that people must understand themselves first before we look at some cultural norms across other cultures. The last of our three modules deals with application of knowledge gained in modules one and two.
