Best of Your Adoption Coach: Susan Cox, Holt International, Perspectives on International Adoption
June 29, 2013
Hosted by Kelly Ellison
Join us for Perspectives on International Adoption with Susan Cox of Holt International. Susan was one of the first children to be adopted in the United States in 1956. She was the 166th child to be placed. Growing up in Oregon with her family, Susan has a unique perspective about intercountry adoption as an adult adoptee. If you are considering intercountry adoption or are a parent of a child adoption internationally you'll appreciate this show and the wonderful insight and perspective that Susan shares. As the Vice President of Policy and External Affairs and having worked with international adoption and child welfare issues for more than twenty five years, Susan's expertise and passion for adoption inspires us all. In her own words, "The Goal is a Family, not adoption."

Your Adoption Coach is designed to reach prospective and current adoptive families, couple, and singles with the resources they need to successfully bring their family together. We will examine international and domestic adoption, resources, costs, stories, highlight innovative agencies and bring the touching stories of families struggling and succeeding to the forefront. There is no greater community builder than Adoption! When we educate and encourage others to become involved, more people are inspired to adopt or be a part of a community of adoption. Our show aims to educate and inspire others to get involved in building a family be it on their own or helping someone close to them bring their family home together forever.
