Episode Description

“China is winning the global business game," charge Nick Pechet & Pete Read. The authors of the disturbing soon-to-be-published, "China Rules," talk about the impact of China's global investment and its “shockingly rapid investment boom in overseas strategic assets, including energy, construction, utilities and finance.” They will detail how "gullible" Western executives and politicians in their “thirst for short-term political power and financial gain” transferred “untold potential wealth” to China through technology transfers and offshoring—and “let the dragon in.” Now hundreds of millions of citizens in Western nations will see changes to every aspect of their lives. Joining Global Reach host Té Revesz from their posts in China and Singapore, Pechet and Read will detail the crucial implications for Western companies and the mega-trends they must embrace to compete in the new game. China has changed the rules of global business; “China Rules” gives a new meaning to "Made in China."
