Episode Description

As part of a promoting excellence series, this episode reveals the first-ever ASQ Global State of Quality Research—Discoveries 2013. ASQ states, “This unprecedented worldwide research has taken nearly a year and a half to complete, with more than 2,000 survey responses from organizations in more than 22 countries.” Join us as we find out what triggered this undertaking and plans to build from this baseline. We discuss how the research addresses the “what” questions, i.e., core main themes, associated key findings, and statistically significant factors that affect quality practices within these themes. The Discoveries 2013 report will start the journey to answer the “why” questions this year, providing the quality discipline with real-world data to help shape the focus of our work to move our own organizations forward—as well as the world.
