Deserts make up one third of the earth’s land surface. What if we could produce food, water and clean energy in the Sahara Desert, the world’s hottest desert which covers 9 million square kilometers? Would this help relieve the looming crisis for food shortage without contributing more to energy consumption and CO2 emissions, or to water scarcity? The ambitious Sahara Forest Project aims to take on this challenge. I will explore this with Joakim Hauge, the CEO of The Sahara Forest Project. Please join us to learn more about the vision and strategy for the project.
