Bring Dimtry Home – A Haitian Adoption Story with Dena Edmunds
November 9, 2013
Hosted by Kelly Ellison
You will want to tune in for this first-hand account of the Edmunds Family and their tremendous journey to adopt their son Dimtry from Haiti. They began in February 2011 after Dena participated in a medical mission trip after the Haiti Earthquake. Dena and her husband Eric were fortunate to meet a nun who was the head of an orphanage in Fondwa and was invited to visit the orphanage. After meeting the children, Dena and Eric received permission to adopt two boys and began their long journey to bringing them home. Today, almost three years later they are in the final steps of bringing only one of the boys home. Find out how the game changed on them numerous times but how in Dena’s words, “It was worth it and she’d do it again in a minute.” You’ll want to tune in as Dena shares this intimate experience with us. What a privilege!

Our show aims to educate and inspire others to get involved in building a family be it on their own or helping someone close to them bring their family home together forever.
