Episode Description

What makes a community thrive? How can we join people of different backgrounds in community and connection to the land? How do we “edge-walk,” or, navigate the borders found in both nature and culture? These are questions that Peter Forbes, co-founder of the Center for Whole Communities, works to understand as he empowers leaders and citizens from all walks of life to connect across boundaries and activate movements. Peter co-founded the Center for Whole Communities and started a family farm in the Mad River Valley of Vermont to put his years of conservation advocacy work into practice and help other people develop their own close connections to place. On December 2, join Host Kate Ebner and Peter Forbes for a conversation about the power of finding connection and shared values among difference.
