Today the American people are more distrustful of their leaders than ever before. We have all witnessed the damage caused to leadership by the lack of trust, in government, corporations, financial institutions, and in nearly every fiber in the fabric of American life. Dennis Hastert, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, will be discussing the intricate and complex relationship between Leadership and Trust. Speaker Hastert served from January 6, 1999 until January 3, 2007 and was the longest-serving Republican Speaker in history. He was elected to the House in 1987 and served the 14th Congressional District of Illinois. He joined Dickstein Shapiro in 2008 as a member of the firm’s Public Policy & Law Practice.
