In this program we will explore what Worksite Wellness Programs are, the forms they can take and the components that make them up. We will discuss the cost of such programs and their return on investment. Additionally we will talk about not only absenteeism but presenteeism and how each affect the workplace. Our guests have considerable experience with these programs and will share their expertise and recommendations for all those considering implementing or just taking part in such a program.

Our show is about a variety of topics that have to do with educating people on how they can live their best life ever physically, emotionally and creating a healthy balance for themselves. We’ll discuss how to set S.M.A.R.T goals. The show is about empowerment and showing you how to connect the dots between who you are now and who you want to be. It’s about showing and giving you the tools to take personal responsibility for your life so that you can succeed in your desired change. Our show is a positive, inspirational outlook that encourages people to get away from the victim mentality so prevalent in today’s society and to take charge. We’ll include terrific guests who can answer questions and provide input on these topics.

Rick Barnabo

Rick Barnabo received his BBA at Western Michigan University and is Certified as a Personal Trainer and Cancer Exercise Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. He is also a Certified Wellness Coach and Fitness Coach through Wellcoaches Inc. and endorsed by A.C.S.M. Rick was a former Wellness Coordinator and Fitness Specialist for Canyon Physical Therapy and Aquatic Rehabilitation.

Rick provides personal training instruction to private clientele. He has worked with and trained a variety of individuals ranging in age from middle teens to clients in their nineties. The majority of his clients have or have had physical or medical challenges including but not limited to Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Arthritis and a variety of orthopedic conditions. Rick works with and trains Cancer survivors from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. He provides Wellness coaching to private clientele using a variety of techniques with an emphasis on Positive Psychology, Appreciative Inquiry and Motivational Interviewing.

Rick is a public speaker on a variety of topics including “How to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight for life.” “The Relationship between Exercise and Cancer,” “Exercise and its effect on the Brain,” “Aging and Exercise” and “Exercise is Medicine.”

Rick has had several articles published in Health Care Focus Magazine and AZ Net News. He has also studied and developed worksite wellness programs.
