When a Loved One Leaves What Happens to Me?
March 28, 2014
Hosted by Dr. Michael Kudlas
When a life ends, many changes occur in the family of the departed. If it's you that leaves then you have no worries, but what about those left behind? Those that remain here may be happy for the one gone for they have gone to a better place, but that does little to lessen the loss for those that remain. To Layla Jabboori, MA,LLP, walking along side individuals who are on that journey of grief and adjusting to their lives without a loved one, or a significant person of influence, gives her a sense of deep purpose and meaning. We live in a culture that gives little permission to honor what can be the most life changing event in our lives so grief is often misunderstood. Grief is an emotional response to a loss and as humans we experience loss from the moment of our birth to our death. Layla finds helping individuals to not only understand grief but to find healthy and safe ways to externalize and express it can move us to live and love the rest of our lives with purpose and meaning. Join us as we explore when a loved one leaves what happens to me.
