April 29, 2014
Hosted by Teri Arranga
Teri interviews three book authors who illuminate the dark underbelly of science and medicine. Dr. David Lewis is the author of the upcoming Science for Sale: How the US Government Uses Powerful Corporations and Leading Universities to Support Government Policies, Silence Top Scientists, Jeopardize Our Health, and Protect Corporate Profits. Louis Conte recently published The Autism War, a gripping suspense novel that mirrors the reality of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP) and the autism epidemic while shedding light on the struggles of regular Americans struggling to raise their children with autism. Wayne Rohde’s book titled The Vaccine Court: The Dark Truth of America's Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is a hard look at the NVICP and the families desperately trying to navigate their way through it. Approximately 1 child in 50 is diagnosed with autism, which gives autism the undesired ranking as the most prevalent childhood developmental disorder in the United States. 67 children will be diagnosed today - that is nearly 1 child every 20 minutes. Autism is treatable and children are significantly improving or recovering following appropriate therapies. “Autism One: A Conversation of Hope” hosted by Teri Arranga, includes discussions with the most experienced doctors, researchers, and therapists in the field, parents of recovered children, and advocates for the children and families.
