Episode Description

Are feminine values the operating system of 21st century progress? Will they yield a competitive advantage? We live in a world that is increasingly social, interdependent & transparent—and increasingly mistrustful of large institutions. So what qualities will it take to be a successful leader or entrepreneur? John Gerzema co-author of The Athena Doctrine: How Women (and the Men Who Think Like Them) Will Rule the Future says that 64,000 respondents in a 13-country survey see them as feminine: selflessness, collaboration, candor, empathy, emotiveness. Traits associated with Athena, goddess of wisdom. How is an Athena business different in the way it interacts with customers and communities? Manages employees? Earns profits? What characterizes an Athena government? How does this impact the rising generation? How can Athena principles change the global growth paradigm? Help us win in the world marketplace? John shares examples from interviews with 150 leaders & innovators in 18 countries.
