Think about fast jets and my mind immediately takes me to the film ‘Top Gun’ and I have always been intrigued to understand more about this challenging and dangerous endeavour . When life is on the line, pilots must be rigorously trained and exercises carefully planned and evaluated. There is much we can learn in business from such careful strategy, training, planning and debriefing. My guest for this show is Mandy Hickson. Mandy fought hard to achieve her ambition to be a Royal Air Force pilot. She was only the second woman to fly a Tornado GR4, completing three tours of duty and 45 missions over Iraq. Today, Mandy shares the strategies, tactics and behaviours adopted for high stake missions for the benefit of today’s business leaders. His first consultancy became a multi-million pound business within 3 years.
Today, Chris helps business people elevate performance through consultancy, coaching, training, professional speaking, writing and broadcasting. His coaching programme ‘The Elevation Programme’ has helped many business owners to profitably grow their businesses since 2008.
As a speaker he talks about lessons from his book ‘The Power To Get Things Done (Whether You Feel Like It Or Not) co written with Dr Steven Levinson (published by Penguin Random House USA in December 2015).
His radio show is accessed in over 50 countries and has aired since 2011, making him a highly experienced on-line radio host. Having undertaken hundreds of interviews with international ex-perts and thought leaders he has been described as one of the most credible business experts in the UK. Chris lives in Leicestershire, England with his wife Ruth and two young boys. Hobbies include taking his soccer mad eldest son to watch Leicester City FC, playing rock guitar, keeping fit, fly fishing and transforming his Victorian home and garden into a beautiful space.
