Episode Description
The inaugural Fraud Talk show will be an introduction to the host, Chris Marquet, describing his experience and background. It will also include a discussion of the major fraud categories we will be exploring and discussing in the show including employee theft, investment fraud & Ponzi schemes, bribery & kickback schemes, FCPA issues, and other frauds. It will also include a broad discussion of fraud prevention and business control strategies - risk assessment, policy review, loss prevention, security, employee screening, due diligence in business transactions and the like. One segment will also be dedicated to our weekly "Fraud of the Week" piece, ripped from the current headlines. This segment will review the case and elicit commentary from the host. The final segment will allow for call-ins and questions. If there aren't any or not enough for the segment, the remainder of time will include additional discussion of current cases and a preview of future shows and guests.

Chris Marquet is founder and CEO of Marquet International with more than three decades of professional experience in the private investigations, business intelligence, and security consulting industry. Chris has served a broad range of industry sectors and clients, including corporations, financial institutions, law firms, business advisors, governments and high profile individuals. Chris joined the prestigious Kroll Associates in 1983 and held senior positions, including Sr. MD, head of business development and president of its global political risk and travel security intelligence group. After 19 years with Kroll, Chris cofounded Citigate Global Intelligence and served as Exec MD, handling all service lines including business intelligence, investigations and business controls consulting. In 2006, he founded Marquet International. During his career, Chris has been involved in thousands of investigative, intelligence and security consulting projects around the world. He has also authored many articles, including the Marquet Report on Embezzlement, the Marquet Report on Ponzi Schemes, Anticipating Workplace Violence, Do You Know Who You Are Hiring, and Resume Fraud: The Top Ten Lies. He has also lectured extensively and been widely quoted. In addition to being a VoiceAmerica radio host with his own show, he also hosts and manages a popular FraudTalk blog. Chris graduated from Dartmouth College with a triple major in Physics, Economics, and Philosophy.
