Episode Description

Have you ever considered economics to be sacred? It may seem like a stretch–given the common theme that money is the root of all evil. Money, or currency, is a form of energy through which most of us navigate the world. Yet its misuse has led to some very dire and potentially dangerous scenarios. Tune in and learn how we can transmute money into something sacred. Charles Eisenstein claims that nothing less than a wholesale revolution will suffice, a transformation of money’s essential nature. Learn about new forms of currency and the new economy that will coalesce around it. We’ll explore the metamorphosis in human identity that is both a cause and a result of the transformation of money. Hear how our attitudes about money go all the way to the core of what it is to be human: they include our understanding of the purpose of life, humanity’s role on the planet, the relationship of the individual to the human and natural community; even what it is to be an individual, a self.
