Episode Description

In February 2013, American Century Investments conducted a survey of 1,054 full-time employed individuals between the ages of 55 and 65 who are currently participating in their employer-sponsored retirement plan. The purpose of the survey was to understand how pre-retirees view their lifetime efforts to prepare for retirement and to gauge perceptions of how well their employer supported their efforts. Listen in as we will be joined by Diane Gallagher of American Century Investments, who administered the survey, as she shocks us with what the data supports, in particular, that pre-retirees predominately feel that they simply have not saved enough to retire. In Black and Weitz airs on Tuesday at 10AM Eastern Standard to hear these staggering statistics.
