Kim Cook is an RN who delighted in caring for elementary school children, yet desired to work with older students as well. One day, on a whim, she googled “Health Education”. Within the afternoon, much to her husband’s bewilderment, she had enrolled at Northern Illinois University to begin her new destiny as a certified middle-and high-school health teacher. After hobnobbing for four years with remarkable educators and young adults also entering the field, she graduated with the satisfaction of a career well-chosen. Earning her LGBT certification and minoring in psychology, and eventually earning her Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification, she is well-rounded in her academic knowledge base. However, raising three really cool daughters has been an education that cannot be taught in the classroom. (Coolness runs in the family. The maternal side.) TeenWorldConfidential is a project that began in 2013 with a desire to offer medically-accurate, fact-based information about sexuality health to adolescents and the adults in their lives using a straightforward yet humorous approach. Addressing sexuality health in a sex-positive, nonjudgmental manner can help keep lines of communication open and build trust with young people. Using this information will inspire dialogue between adults (parents, caregivers, teachers, etc) and young people, as well as inform about different aspects of sexuality health that may be unfamiliar. She believes in the philosophy that knowledge is power: The more information given – solid, medically-accurate, honest information – the better informed choices kids will make. Guest Kim Cook

An undisciplined mind can cause a life of chaos. Julianna Raye has been practicing Basic Mindfulness with her clients for more than 14 years. After feeling miserable pursuing what she thought was her life's purpose as a recording artist, Julianna realized that if her mind was unhappy that her life would reflect that unhappiness. Therefore, upon a recommendation from a psychotherapist, Julianna began meditating. She attended a retreat given by an American Mindfulness teacher who was ordained in Japan, Shinzen Young. Later she added the rigors and rituals of Zen training to expand her practice. Julianna founded Pop Go Zen to work with people to empower them in their personal growth efforts. Julianna works with individuals and groups to personalize their experience in Basic Mindfulness to experience the benefits in their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual lives. Mark is an avid 51-year old CrossFit enthusiast, husband and father of four. Professionally Mark is a Group Account Director at Acquity Group, part of Accenture Interactive. On August 6, 2010 Mark’s life changed drastically while driving home from work when a man intentionally drove his car head on into Mark’s car in a suicide attempt. Mark sustained a traumatic brain injury, broken neck, ribs, pelvis and tibia. Mark was in a coma for a week and faced amputation of his right leg three times. Mark has fully recovered and has since produced record sales at Acquity Group and will participate in his third consecutive CrossFit Open this February. Expert medical care was critical to Mark’s recovery but equally important were investments Mark made years earlier in a healthy marital relationship, a healthy lifestyle, and complete forgiveness for the man causing the accident. It’s been in me since I was born and once I was introduced to Michael Jackson, heard my first Pearl Jam Cd and sang to 4 non blondes it was over. What’s funny is how I’ve come to truly appreciate the role music plays in my life. And I don’t just mean music- I mean performing! I love to perform in front of people and share that special energy of being connected through the vibe, the lyrics, the beats and the melody. I left music behind for almost 10 year of my life to pursue traditional business success. I was successful yet unfulfilled.
So I left the business goals behind to pursue music. Again unfulfilled cause I was broke! So I decided to tap into both and that’s when my world changed. I’ve found a way to use each to support each other through planning and finding my true passion. I want to travel the world as a musician speeding a conscious, real and positive message. I want to share my time with people who want to just flat out let go and enjoy themselves!
So my passion of travelin the world as a well known respected musician fuels my passion to work so I can afford to put all the pieces in place to do so. It’s a beautiful thing to know you’re working to support your passion- it will literally strengthen your work more than any generic business skill set. Passion is the key!! I have pinch myself cause I’m on an extraordinary journey!

I'm a 26 year old performance coach who works primarily with millennial professionals and entrepreneurs. I am loving life in San Diego where I split my time between surfing and rescuing millennial leaders from the trap of a meaningless rat race life. I help my clients find fulfillment, purpose, and show them how they can grow their business tremendously and efficiently - more than they ever could working a stressed out 60-100 work week. I am extremely passionate about two things at this point in my life: adventure, and living a life of purpose and impact. Thus, I've combined my two passions for my coaching programs where I take groups of kick ass people on adventure based retreats. Instead of sitting in a boring hotel room listening to speakers all day, we take exciting trips full of excursions and explore some of life's biggest questions. We then create clear visions for how to integrate the answers we learn back at home into our business. The inspiration for these trips began 2 years ago where I had a need for this sort of experience. I was crushing it and breaking records building my CUTCO cutlery sales management empire when I woke up one day and realized I had two big problems. I didn't TRULY know myself or the impact I wanted to make on this world and I wasn't surrounded by kick ass people to support the standards I wanted to have for myself. So I've spent the last 2 years solving these dilemmas for myself. My business is a reflection of that journey. I've compressed the most valuable breakthroughs I've had into a life changing 4 day experience, and I've created a community of peer entrepreneurs who expect excellence and greatness from this lifetime and hold each-other accountable in that journey. She grew up in Norway, where storytelling is part of her culture. Drawing on that heritage, Anita started writing books for children with engaging stories containing messages of love and acceptance.
