Living Natural Today: Out with Toxins, In with Your Health, is a vehicle to not only share my personal struggles with toxins and the detrimental impact they have on one’s health, but more importantly, to educate others on toxins and how they can minimize their harmful effects. You will learn simple and practical steps to begin minimizing toxic exposures that will ultimately improve your quality of life.

I will be interviewing experts as it relates to Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, food labels, GMO’s, household chemicals, food allergies, organic standards, real whole foods and much more, all in an effort to help educate you so that you will not have an overflowing toxic bucket which may prove detrimental to your overall health.

Approximately 8 years ago, in my early 30's, I started having unexplainable health symptoms. Daily headaches, heart palpitations, restless sleep, vision disturbances, anxiety and other debilitating symptoms became common-place. Unfortunately, this led to several years of deteriorating health.

After visiting countless doctors, undergoing test-after-test, and practically being on my death-bed, I finally met a doctor who had experienced and overcame Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) first-hand. He was literally the first person who was able to diagnose and help. He explained that, because my toxic bucket had overflowed, my body was almost literally shutting down. He explained that everyone has a certain sized bucket that will hold a certain amount of toxins. However, once that bucket is filled, it will overflow and have adverse effects on the body. This was me.

It was after overcoming these personal health challenges resulting from toxins, stress and an unhealthy diet that my career changed from positions in corporate America to that of a fierce advocate for health-and-wellness. I am currently the owner of Living Natural Today, and also a Regional Marketing Director with Youngevity. In my business and on my blog I share resources about organic food, healthy living and the detrimental impact toxins can have on the body, all in in an effort to encourage others to live a more natural and healthy lifestyle.

Angelique

Angelique has extensive personal experience with low-VOC and chemical-free building, remodeling and cleaning. She has several medical conditions that are triggered by chemical pollutants, and her most important line of defense is avoidance. Every product and procedure must be researched and tested, and workers have to be supervised very closely. With each project Angelique discovers more steps that have to be taken to ensure an outcome that is safe for someone with chemical sensitivity. Kirsten has a BFA from Illinois State and is undergoing a Master’s program for Nutrition Science. She was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in December of 2010 and it changed her life forever.

Kirsten started GlutenFreeRehab to help individuals maneuver through the overwhelmingly confusing gluten free and Celiac lifestyle as seamlessly as possible. She teaches how to be gluten free safely in your home, at work, grocery shopping, social occasions and the do's and don'ts of ordering while eating out.
