The world is becoming more interconnected. Companies are expanding into new markets at an unprecedented rate. Companies used to be multinational having a footprint in numerous offshore locations while maintaining strong home country identity. Now many companies have expanded to global locations often in 100+ sites. Often overnight they are acquired by another company and become global with little or no preparation for the change that this will require.
The transglobal nature of work requires a different type of leader. They are what we call Transglobal Leaders who work effectively in any location in the world and have a global mindset in their DNA. These leaders know that command and control and fear based leaders tolerated in the past won't cut it now and will drag a company down.
