DeEtta Jones and Richard Dent

DeEtta Jones is an invited speaker, consultant and author with more than twenty years of experience working with people from around the world to enhance their leadership ability and confidence. She has worked with individuals and a wide array of organizations bringing research-based concepts and practical wisdom. DeEtta committed early in life to educating people on critical personal and social issues, equipping them with practical tools for making substantive change, and then modeling the way.

DeEtta’s writings on leadership and management best practices are regularly featured in variety of publications. Her first book, “F: The Housewives: Stop Watching. Start Living” is a tongue-in-cheek play on the current wave of reality shows that narrowly depict the lives and values of today’s generation of women. It provides practical guidance about developing a durable personal brand and pursuing one’s dreams in a world filled with shallow images of success attained without real effort or talent. She brings her own unique vantage point as the better half of Chicago Bears and NFL legend and Hall of Famer, Richard Dent. Her second book, “Hot Yoga, Coconut Water and Eustress: 10 Strategies for Bringing Intention to Your Leadership Practice,” is a “how to” guide for people seeking to elevate their effectiveness by taking a more holistic approach.

Richard Dent was an All-Pro defensive end for the Chicago Bears and a member of the 1985 NFL Champions, which can claim to be the best team in NFL history. He was selected the MVP of Super Bowl XX and continues to be the Bears all-time sacks leader. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Richard’s commitment to giving back led him to form the Make a Dent Foundation, dedicated to the education and empowerment of disenfranchised people. In addition to his philanthropic efforts, Richard, after a long and successful NFL career, transitioned into the energy and communication and business. His ability to be “at the top of the game” in now two totally distinct careers spanning more than 30 years perfectly reflects the next generation of leaders.
