Episode Description

Bowe Bergdahl: who is he and why should we care? Charged with desertion from the Army and misbehaving before the enemy in Afghanistan, his future hangs in the balance today. Is he a traitor, mentally ill - or both? Today's guest, Luke Adler, is an award-winning former Marine and, after being honorably discharged, joined the U.S. Marshals Service, where he was involved in the apprehension of several of the Top 15 Most Wanted fugitives. He is the author of Chasing Bandits, true stories of bandits on the run who thought they could avoid capture. Dr. Carole believes the army slipped up in ignoring Bergdahl's history of psychiatric problems and allowing him to join its ranks. Should he now be court-martialed or has he been punished enough by his years in captivity and torture?
