Episode Description

As this show airs, the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting is taking place in New York City. Today's guests, members of the Initiative, take us there live to find out what's happening behind closed doors. Anne Goddard, the CEO of Child Fund, just received a Global Citizen Award at the meeting, for her work setting up childcare centers in disaster-torn countries, beginning with the ebola outbreak in Africa. Camille van Gestel, founder of Waka Waka, just announced that his company, which produces solar lamps, surpassed their commitment to empower one million people with electricity. It's easy to be cynical in a world where we're bombarded with bad news every day, but today's show and the work these guests, and others in the Clinton Global Initiative, are doing to make the world a better place, will keep you smiling and feeling more positive about a better tomorrow.
