I started out as a stock broker specializing in socially responsible investments. At the time most people didn't even know what socially investing meant. I learned quickly how we spend our money has a huge impact on the world. At the very least it can direct and powerful impact on how companies conduct business. My brother, Dean Tinney, taught me everything I learned. It was quite a bit too, Later I worked for Kaplan Professional teaching stock brokers and investment advisers how to pass their various tests. I hope you can join us, call in and ask any questions you like about investments and how you can have impact in the world with money. Dean has over 30 years experience in originating, allocating, and managing capital. He is the founder and Managing Member of Gama Global Investment Advisors. Gama Global Investment Advisors is named after Vasco de Gama, the Portuguese explorer.

Social responsibility had not yet been coined as a phrase when Chris Tinney started a brokerage firm and became one of the first stock brokers to specialize in socially responsible investing. It was then he first saw the power behind the simple choices business, community leaders and consumers make every day.
His later experience in Fortune 100 management, as a Radio Station News director and Founder of Spread Peace USA give him a unique perspective that he brings to the show every week.
He now serves on the board of Hotei Media Ltd, an ad agency serving nonprofits and as host of Up Close with Chris Tinney on the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network and continues to ask everyone he meets, “Who can you help today?”
