Episode Description

Amp Your Good this Holiday Season will feature Amp Your Good CEO Patrick O'Neill. Patrick will introduce us to Amp Your Good, which uses technology to make helping out easier to do, more social, more efficient and more impactful. They want to amplify the good in everyone by enabling their good intentions to have the greatest impact. Their platform fixes some of the issues with the traditional way of donating goods by modernizing how charitable drives work. They make them easier to organize and donate to, more social and more environmentally friendly. They also address one of the biggest issues with this type of giving - the mismatch between what people donate and what the charity actually needs. For example, food drives frequently accept only non-perishable foods, but what the hungry also need are fresh, nutritious foods. Amp Your Good enables the donation of perishable foods as well! Join us to learn more about their amazing new platform for charitable drives of all kinds.

Sandra Guy Malhotra, Ph.D.

Sandra is a classically-trained scientist, having earned a B.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. As an engineering student, she learned the fundamentals of inquiry using the scientific method, experiment planning, data analysis, and critical thinking. Most importantly, she learned to examine problems from many different angles, to question assumptions, and to prove hypotheses. Sandra relied upon these skills as a development engineer at IBM Microelectronics for 9 years and as a Director of Technology at Intermolecular, Inc. for 8 years. She managed high-performing teams and complex projects, and is a co-inventor of 50 patents and co-author of 30 scholarly publications.

Sandra has always been passionate about keeping her body, mind and spirit in balance through nutrition, exercise, spiritual reconnection, and holistic healing techniques. As a result of personal experience and research using her analytical skillset, she became convinced that this whole body approach is the most effective way to maintain health and treat the root causes of disease. She founded W Cubed, Inc. and W Cubed Outreach, Inc. with the mission of providing awareness about issues with our food supply; providing guidance about regenerating body, mind, and spirit to prevent and treat disease; making holistic healing more accessible; and providing financial assistance to those who could benefit from access to holistic health care.

He wanted to lose weight and become healthy again, so he tried every diet possible without any success – like millions of others. Finally he came across a life-changing fact: There are over 1-milion different species of animals on this earth and only one of them is littered with obesity, illness and chronic diseases – humans. Scott then realized that our closest living relatives, chimpanzees, who are almost 99% like us, live virtually disease free – NO heart attacks, strokes, cancer, diabetes, and 1,000’s of other illnesses, including obesity – which are all directly related to the foods we eat. Humans and chimps have basically identical digestive systems, so makes sense, we should be eating the same food. Chimps eat fruits, berries, veggies, nuts and seeds and by eating this way, Scott quickly lost the unwanted weight and Chimp Food was born! Learn more at www.chimpfood.com. View Guest page
