GMOs (or “genetically modified organisms”) are organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering, or GE. This relatively new science creates unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacteria and viral genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods. Chris Tinney is a Harley-riding, wine-drinking, tie-loathing Vegan and host of Up Close with Chris Tinney.

Social responsibility had not yet been coined as a phrase when Chris Tinney started a brokerage firm and became one of the first stock brokers to specialize in socially responsible investing. It was then he first saw the power behind the simple choices business, community leaders and consumers make every day.
His later experience in Fortune 100 management, as a Radio Station News director and Founder of Spread Peace USA give him a unique perspective that he brings to the show every week.
He now serves on the board of Hotei Media Ltd, an ad agency serving nonprofits and as host of Up Close with Chris Tinney on the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network and continues to ask everyone he meets, “Who can you help today?”
