Deb Tomaro

After studying archaeology in college, Deb decided that living with dirty fingernails wasn’t probably realistic for her, so she went to grad school to study Instructional Design. After several years of working as a corporate trainer and instructional designer, she had the opportunity to return to her beloved college town of Bloomington, Indiana. An unexpected and life changing moment led her to real estate. Motivated by her experience of finally finding a Home, Deb obtained her real estate license and has never looked back.

Deb had a challenge in front of her: to build a business starting at absolute zero. At the end of her first year, she was named Rookie of the Year in the state of Indiana for her company. At the end of her second year, she had sold more houses that year than any other Realtor in her area. The success and awards continued, but the real pride came from her client satisfaction and referral rates.

Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions a person can make. Why wouldn’t you want someone smart guiding you through the process? Mistakes can be costly. They can financially ruin a homeowner. Deb created educational seminars, blogs, newsletters and other materials to help educate people so they could to make smart decisions about real estate. She even started a mentor program for new Realtors in her area to make sure that Realtors were better trained and knowledgeable about helping people make smart decisions.

Amanda Quinby


Amanda completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 2012. She worked in university counseling for several years before transitioning to private practice in 2015. Amanda’s primary area of interest is working with young professionals in their 20s and 30s who are having difficulty coping with life transitions associated with this particular age, such as considering a job or career change, navigating graduate school, beginning or ending a marriage or other long-term relationship, starting a family, or moving to a new area. She finds it very rewarding to help clients who are feeling anxious, depressed, or just stuck during these times and guide them towards a path that is going to bring them meaning and joy in life. Amanda highly values balance in life and therefore makes it a priority to spend time in areas outside of work, which include date nights with her husband, going on walks with her two dogs, reading, running and knitting. After graduating from I.U. Bloomington with a B.S. in Education, Karan unexpectedly began her career in the financial industry in 1994 with The People’s State Bank, later making the move to Monroe Bank. During her 14½ years with Monroe Bank she served in many capacities ranging from Loan Operations to Consumer Underwriting to Compliance, but finally found her true passion as a mortgage originator. She's an active member of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association serving on the State Board of Directors, as well as the current Chapter Chair for the South Central Chapter of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association. Karan also serves on the Family Selection Committee of the Monroe County Habitat for Humanity, is a member of Business Networking International’s Bloomington Elite Chapter where she serves on the Membership Committee and as an affiliate member of the Bloomington Board of Realtors, she volunteers each year with the annual toy drive.
