YogiAthlete: The Restorative and Preventative Benefits of Integrating Yoga Into High Performance Training
November 4, 2016
Hosted by Hemda Mizrahi
Former professional arena football player Amir Madison discovered the restorative benefits of yoga first hand, through the remarkably quick healing of torn ligaments in his ankle after he incorporated yoga into his training. In providing instruction to professional athletes, other adults, and children diagnosed with Autism, Amir advocates for the integration of yoga both as a regular lifestyle practice and to enhance sports performance and recovery. He’ll talk about how yoga can help you to improve your range of motion, flexibility, speed, and mental awareness, prevent injuries, and enhance your overall health and wellbeing. Amir exemplifies how former athletes and people in any profession can focus their talents and passions toward a transition to entrepreneurship that includes a social mission.
